The Apply First Aid course gives participants the skills and knowledge required to respond to life threatening emergencies using basic life support measures.
On successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Assess an emergency.

2. Maintain the airway, breathing and circulation of an unconcious casualty, (including CPR).

3. Administer First Aid for minor wounds and apply Infection Control.

4. Manage a casualty with external bleeding.

5. Explain the legal and ethical responsibilities of a first aider.

6. Determine first aid facilities and training requirements.

Assessment is conducted during and at the end of the course to demonstrate to the instructor that the student has the required knowledge and skills of the procedures necessary to manage 1st Aid situations
